Foster Care

The Awakening unapologetically believes that God has called the Church to be a living solution for the orphan crisis in our country. That can look very different for everyone, but it looks like something for everyone. Love looks like something.

In the United States, there are 300,000 churches and 400,000 children in foster care. If every church raises up and supports one foster family there will be more than enough families for children and specifically sibling groups to have a loving family. Www.promise686.com 

"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you" James 1:27

In response to this call, we have strategically partnered with Chosen For Life Ministries and joined them in their mission to to educate and equip churches and communities to demonstrate how our adoption in Christ compels us to obey God's command to love and care for orphans. Although we do have multiple foster families in the Awakening community, you do not have to foster a child to be a part of this solution.

The Awakening is dedicated to this model of being "all-in" and surrounding foster families with the emotional, fiscal, and practical support they need to be successful!
